A Christmas Cornucopia
In the final 2026 meeting of Wild Reads, we’ll celebrate the holiday season with surprising stories and a little festive mischief. A Christmas Cornucopia is a witty and wildly entertaining dive into the curious origins of beloved (and bizarre) Christmas traditions. This cozy winter read unwraps the tales behind carols, feasts, and popular folklore to reveal that Christmas has always been a joyful jumble of the sacred, the silly, and the unexpected. After the book discussion, participants will enjoy a guided tour of the Lights Before Christmas. Discover the planning, creativity, and teamwork that transform winter nights into a renowned seasonal experience and connect the book’s themes of tradition, spectacle, and shared joy to a beloved local celebration.
