Celebrate Toledo’s literary and performing arts community at the kick-off to this season’s Loop series. Features this month include the annual Ode to the Zip Code Poetry reading and contest, hosted in partnership with the Fair Housing Center, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, and Toledo City Paper, as well as local author’s meet up, open mics, and assorted performances from Toledo’s performing arts community. The Main Library will be closing for the remainder of the 2018 Art Loop season as they embark on exciting new renovations. The Main Hub will now be located at the Imagination Station. ADMISSION IS $5 AFTER 5PM ON ART LOOP NIGHTS! You can take advantage of any available street parking or nearby parking garages. We suggest the Promedica Depo Parking Garage (corner of Summit & Jefferson - $5 fee).

"LOOKING IN" EXHIBITION OPENING RECEPTION
HEART GALLERY, APRIL 18, 6-8PM
Join us for the opening of Looking In, the 6th annual photography exhibition created by the collaboration of students from BGSU's Community Projects in Photography class and The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD). The exhibition helps photography students' see the world in a different light' while providing support for those served by the WCBDD to showcase their point of view. Looking In is on display at HeArt Gallery, St Paul's Lutheran Church until the week of May 6th. TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART
Stop by the TMA and check out exhibitions like "Expanded Views: Native American Art in Focus" and "Different Trains" as well as the "Everything in Rhythm" installation featuring a multisensory display, exploring the relationship between art and music. Stop by the Glass Pavilion Hot Shop to try your hand at glass blowing by participating in the Pick Your Project Program (6:30pm, $30 members/$40 non-members) or enjoy public demonstrations (free at 8pm). View Katherine Gray's immersive installation "(Being) in a Hotshop" as she engages viewers with the sights, sounds, and smells of the glassmaking studio.

ART LOOP AFTER DARK!
THE HEIGHTS, 9-11PM
Join us for Art Loop After Dark! at The Heights in the Renaissance Downtown Hotel. Enjoy, drink specials, live music, creative experiences, networking opportunities, and an amazing view of the city! For the April 18 Art Loop enjoy an interactive experience with the University of Toledo Youth Symphony Orchestra, where audience members will be invited onstage to try their hand at conducting one of the works.
