Join us to celebrate the 2017 Young Artist At Work Apprentices at the YAAW 2017 / Creatives Premiere and Artist Market from 5–7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2rd at the YAAW Worksite, located at the University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts, 620 Grove Place. The event is FREE and features the creative accomplishments of the apprentices with artwork for sale and light refreshments inside the Center for the Visual Arts Gallery. At 5:15pm, please join us for remarks in the Toledo Museum of Art’s Peristyle Theatre.

ABOUT YAAW 2017: 42 diverse and at-risk teens representing more than 26 area high schools have begun a summer program to beautify Toledo public spaces as part of The Arts Commission’s Young Artists at Work (YAAW) program.

Major projects for the 2017 YAAW program include a new interior mural at the Ottawa Park Ice Rink; an exterior mural for the Wilson Park pool building; and a suite of artworks for the public lobby spaces of Lucas County Job and Family Services offices and the Child Support Enforcement Agency common spaces.
