Please join us on Friday, January 11 at 6:30 for a conversation in the main gallery.

Moderated by Crystal Gale Phelps (MFA) , artist Jordan Buschur will discuss the influences, process and ideas relating to her artistic practice.

About the Exhibition:

"We all have that one “junk drawer” dedicated to those objects that we don’t use, but can’t seem to throw away. The sentimental value of personal objects is the theme for Jordan Buschur’s upcoming solo exhibition, More With More with Less." {Kelly Thompson, Toledo City Paper }

River House Arts is thrilled to present this exciting new exhibition of paintings by Jordan Buschur in her first Toledo area solo exhibition.

In this series, Buschur depicts banal and seemingly inconsequential objects as a means of exploring the interior life and hand of her human subjects. From books to drawers to piles of empty boxes, Buschur focuses on the oscillation between private meaning and public presentation.

An artist, educator, and curator, Jordan Buschur received an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College, the City University of New York. Her work has been shown internationally, including exhibitions with the Center for Book Arts (New York), Tiger Strikes Asteroid (New York), and Vox Populi. She has curated exhibitions at Cuchifritos Gallery and Spring/Break Art Show, both in New York City. Buschur is the former Director of the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and the Prescott Gallery, Lincoln, NE. She currently works with The Arts Commission, Toledo, OH and The Neon Heater Art Gallery, Findlay, OH.
