Event Details:

Austin's Book Club was created in memory of Austin Lee Robbins, who was born on September 20, 2015 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Twelve hours after birth, Austin was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. The NICU doctors and nurses did everything they could for Austin, but after two days of fighting with all his might, Austin passed away. Having a sick child meant Austin’s parents could not do “normal” parenting things: hold, feed, bathe and take Austin home. However, the one thing they could do was read to him. Austin’s legacy is carried on through the power of literature, and thanks to generous donors, each room in the NICU now has books available for parents to read to their children and take home with them.

As a guest, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by purchasing a new book off Austin’s Book Club’s wish list here: http://amzn.to/2hQsWrl. We are confident you will leave feeling inspired after listening to an engaging presentation from Brittany and Heather Robbins, Austin’s parents and founders of Austin’s Book Club.
