Join your Toledo Zoo AAZK Chapter in the Zoo's Aquarium for a night of painting to raise money for sea turtle conservation. For more than 100 million years, sea turtles have covered vast distances across the world's oceans, filling a vital role in the balance of marine habitats. Seven different species of sea turtles grace our ocean waters, but human activities have tipped the scales against the survival of these ancient mariners. Nearly all species of sea turtle are classified as Endangered. Slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin and shells, sea turtles suffer from poaching and over-exploitation. In addition, sea turtles face habitat destruction, accidental capture in fishing gear and climate change which effects nesting sites.

Join us as we raise glasses, our paint brushes and funds for this worthy cause! When you buy a ticket to this event, $15 will be donated to sea turtle conservation. We will be painting our sea turtle masterpiece while watching rescued Toledo Zoo resident, "Tink," the green sea turtle, swim in her habitat. A cash bar will be available. Light snacks will be available courtesy of Toledo Zoo AAZK. Sea turtle themed artwork, including original art created by Toledo Zoo animals and their care staff, will be available during a silent auction.

Guests are to park in the lot on Broadway Street and enter the Zoo using the Broadway entrance. A staff member will direct them to the event.
