Event Details:

Toledoans collected over 10,000 signatures to place the Lake Erie Bill of Rights on the Toledo ballot this November.  On August 28, the Lucas Co. Board of Elections voted to keep it off the ballot, despite it having more than enough signatures to qualify.  Toledoans for Safe Water, the group behind the initiative, has filed an appeal with the Ohio Supreme Court.  Attorney Terry Lodge will describe what the Lake Erie Bill of Rights and why the Elections Board ruled against it. By the date of the meeting there may be a decision back from the Ohio Supreme Court. www.advocatesforacleanlakeerie.org
