Mike Ferner, Advocates for a Clean Lake Erie: The Third Battle for Lake Erie: Current Efforts to Protect the Western Lake Erie Basin and the Communities That Depend on It.

Speaker Bio:
Mike Ferner is the coordinator for Advocates for a Clean Lake Erie. He served as an independent member of Toledo City Council, championing energy efficiency and a public energy system for Toledo. He has been an organizer for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, and a Communications Director for the Farm Labor Organizing Committee. A hospital corpsman during the Vietnam War, he is a past national president of Veterans for Peace. His book “Inside the Red Zone” documents his time spent in Iraq as an independent journalist prior to the U.S.invasion of that country in 2003. 

Parking is available in the Kwik Park lot next to St. Paul’s—a $6 parking fee is applicable. Free on-street parking is available from 11AM-2PM.
