GENERAL EVENT NOTICE: Due to recent concern over the spread of the corona virus, Toledo.com suggests confirming with the actual organizers that this event is still proceeding as planned.

Event Details:

Toledo Sister Cities International Festival. Saturday, April 29, 2017, Concourse Level of Savage Hall Arena at The University of Toledo, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. A Parade of Nations will open the event at 10 am. The festival features ethnic food, dancing, music and other performances by participants celebrating cultures from around the world. Tickets are $5 in advance and are available at Maryoshka's Food & Deli, 4900 N McCord in Sylvania or at Ask Rocky at the UT Student Union Trimble Lounge. Admission at door: $7; seniors (65+), and students with ID $5.00. Children 10 and under free. Parking for the festival on main campus is free. Entrances near Savage Hall include those from Bancroft and Douglas Road. Parking areas 3, 4, and 5 are closest to the event. 

In addition to the performances, the festival will include representatives from many of Toledo’s sister cities, which include Spain, China, Hungary, Poland, Japan, Tanzania, Germany, Lebanon, Pakistan, and India. The festival also features local community groups. Last year, over 20 groups performed and visitors enjoyed international fare. World beers will be available, and vendors will be on hand to offer crafts and other goods. Last year, the festival had some 2,000 participants in this celebration of international diversity.
