Please join the Center for Archival Collections at Bowling Green State University as we recognize one of the recent winners of the Local History Publication Award with lecture by one of our selected authors.

Barbara Floyd - “The Glass City: Toledo and the Industry That Built It”

Barbara Floyd recently retired as director of the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections and university archivist at the University of Toledo. She worked at UT for 31 years, and prior to that, worked in the manuscripts and state archives departments of the Ohio Historical Society. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, a Master of Arts in American History and a Master of Public Administration, all from the University of Toledo. In addition to "The Glass City," which was published by the University of Michigan Press in 2015, she is the author, co-author or editor of seven other books and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, many on aspects of Toledo history.
