A GALA: An interactive, family-friendly, and inclusive experience to celebrate our region’s moment of transit, the everyday people who turn a shared vision into reality, our next generation of Toledoans, and the many stories that exist within our very own community.

AN EXPO: A space of intersection to exhibit youth multimedia storytelling, the future of Toledo’s industries, community initiatives, creatives, storytellers, technology and software innovators, educational institutions, and much more.

A CITY IN TRANSIT: Toledo has never been a one-man show: with over 2,500 nonprofit organizations in Lucas County and over 30,000 companies in Toledo alone, we all have a stake in our future as a city and region. At this crucial era in Toledo’s history —on the cusp of rebirth, an emergent renewal of identity, and a bright but oftentimes uncertain future ahead—we need to learn about our community in a neutral space. And a train is, perhaps, the most powerful symbol of that space. It is a place in motion, moving ahead with many stops along the way. It is a public place, full of seeming strangers brought together only by a shared destination: a moment of commute, sectioned off in time and space, for ourselves and for our city.

To book your own exhibition platform (table, 8x8, or 8x16 platform), to learn more about the event and view the current list of exhibitors (updated weekly), or to sponsor the gala x expo, please visit www.midstory.org/gala or contact us directly at [email protected] All proceeds go toward Midstory’s youth programming and local storytelling projects.
