Event Details:

Cindy Milstein is a long time Anarchist author and organizer from Michigan, who is the editor of the book "Rebellious Mourning: A collective work of Grief" available here. The 37 authors contributing to this anthology reflect on the relationship between the daily violence of Capitalism, mourning, and resistance to that violence and oppression.

These are accounts of people involved in the front lines of some of the most pressing struggles in the world today: Fuskishima, Palestine, racism, sexual assault, those incarcerated in prison, those evicted from their homes, immigration and the AIDS crises. Cindy is the author of "Anarchism and it's aspirations," coauthor of 'Paths toward Utopia: Graphic Explorations of Everyday Anarchism" as well as the editor of the anthology "Taking Sides: Revolutionary Solidarity and the Poverty of Liberalism".

All are available from AK Press. Currently, Cindy is involved in anti-police organizing around the theme of Care not Cops and the Institute for Advanced Troublemaking, a summer school for Anarchists in Massachusetts. Cindy will talk for about 45 minutes about their current book and a discussion will follow. Copies of "Rebellious Mourning" will be available for purchase at this event!
