This fall, the University of Toledo Department of Art will present 4 Saturday morning workshops for children ages 9 through high school. The topics and dates are listed below. Each workshop is just $25 or $90 to take all 4. All materials are included. Your child will create a take-home project from each workshop. 
Crocheting - September 16
Sew Heroic - September 30
Woodworking - Build a Birdhouse - October 14
Create Treasure Box/Map - October 28

About the Presenter - Alissa Cox
Alissa Cox has been an independent artist since 2006. Coming from a family of artisans and artists, she grew up learning woodcrafts, stained glass, blacksmithing, jewelry craft, quilting and painting. She moved her business, Smoky Grove, to Ohio in 2012 and has exhibited at Columbus Winterfair, the Great Lakes Jazz Festival and the Black Swamp Arts Festival. Alissa has taught several workshops in pyrography, sewing and painting.
