Free Educational Webinar for Accessible Technology

The Ability Center will host a free educational webinar for accessible technology on Thursday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. on This webinar will feature a conversation between Sam Melden, Director of Strategic Engagement at The Ability Center, and Chris Higgins a freelance writer, podcaster, and radio reporter from Portland, Oregon.

Chris produced a short film called “Access” that followed a man with a disability through a typical day, showing how he uses his smartphone, Braille display, tactile watch, and guide dog to navigate the world.

The Ability Center is hosting this webinar in recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day which focuses on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people with disabilities. It is marked annually on the third Thursday of May.
