There are four different mazes of all different levels of skill, totaling over 6.9 miles of trails. Guests of all ages will enjoy navigating through wild mazes of fun. The leaves are falling from the trees, the morning air has a certain crispness to it, this can only mean one thing in Lenawee County; it’s time for Tecumseh’s Appleumpkin Festival & Westfest. You’ll want to bring the whole gang to town for this one. The kids will enjoy the midway rides, carnival games, inflatables, and make-it-take-it crafts. The Antique Street Fair and Flea Market will keep you captivated for hours. Northwood Ohio's 3rd Annual Fall Festival

The 3rd Annual Northwood Fall Festival will be held on October 13th in Central Park. Parade begins at 11:00 AM from Great Eastern and moves east down Woodville Road to Mary Street then into Central Park for a fun-filled day of activities. Dinosaurs will be here along with kid games, vendors, car show, inflatables, Big Tent Entertainment by Engine 19 & 56 Daze, cornhole tournament & football will be on the Big Screen in the Big Tent. Beer & Wine will be served (identification is required).

Pumpkin Path is when the Halloween fun really comes alive at the Toledo Zoo! In addition to costumed trick or treating for all ages, there will also be games, artistic pumpkin carving demonstration, bounce houses, and magic shows to entertain all the ghosts and goblins! To help us with our green initiatives, please bring a bag, plastic pumpkin, or other containers for trick-or-treating.

28th Annual Halloween Folklore & Funfest

This family-orientated event is full of fun! Horse-drawn wagon rides, kids' games, and activities in Boo-ville, and guided folklore tours of the Museum. Try your hand at pressing apple cider or listen to haunted storytelling. Costumes are welcome, but not necessary, and there will plenty of treats (and maybe a few tricks too) for all visitors.

Sylvania Fall Festival Inaugural Pumpkin Carving Contest
October 21
Are you a master pumpkin carver? Try your hand at our Inaugural Pumpkin Carving Contest! Contestants will arrive 10:30am at the Eddie Boggs Corner Park on the corner of Maplewood and Main Street in Downtown Sylvania and the contest will begin at 11:00am. Pumpkins will be provided to the contestants, but contestants must provide their own tools and gloves. You will have 1.5 hours to complete your carving and carving will end at 12:30pm. All pumpkins will be judged by Sylvania Mayor Craig Stough and the winner will be announced at 12:45pm and will receive a special award. Must be 21+ to enter and waiver and $10 payment must be turned in to be entered. Limited to the 1st 5 paid participants. Find registration form and waiver here.

Sylvania Fall Festival

A longstanding Sylvania tradition, the Sylvania Fall Festival returns this year on Sunday, October 13th, 2018! Several dozen food, craft, informational and vendor booths will line Main Street, Tree City’s historical throughway. Everybody’s perennial favorite, the fall festival parade, will energize the town from Monroe to Main Street. Catch a stage performance at the corner of Main and Maplewood, explore Sylvania Historical Village and celebrate community when you join us for the 32nd Annual Sylvania Fall Festival!

Trick-or-Treat for Tots

Monsters, superheroes, princesses, kings and queens, ghosts and ghouls – all 6 years old or under – are invited to have an imaginative, spooktacular good time dressing up in their Halloween finest (no full facial masks or toy weapons please) for mall-wide trick-or-treating at participating retailers, a magic show, Halloween-themed photo ops and more.

It’s Trick-or-Treat time at The Shops at Fallen Timbers, and there will be plenty in store for young ghouls and goblins. Participating tenants will have a bright orange sign hanging on their door.

Boo Fest - Liberty Center

Join us for our 4th annual Boo Fest and Shop, Eat & Treat. Join us in the Square from 1-4pm to enjoy face painters, pumpkin decorating and live music. Pet Parade registration will begin at 1 pm, the parade will kick off at 2:30 pm followed by awards. Enjoy a magic show at 3 pm and top the day off by trick-or-treating around Liberty Center from 4-6pm.

Join the Believe Center Inc. for a free afternoon of Trick-or-Treating and spooky family fun! Costumes contests, entertainment and free trails every hour.


Halloween Arts & Crafts Workshops

Toledo Museum of Art - Glass Ghost 
Friday and Saturday sessions available. Learn to create a glass pumpkin under the guidance of a Toledo Museum of Art instructor during a one-hour workshop at the Glass Pavilion. Open to Museum members and non-members alike, tickets are $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Adults and children 14+ accompanied by an adult are welcome. Storytelling & Folklore

Haunting History Tours
Every Friday and Saturday through October 27
Learn about the spirits that have been seen, heard, felt and smelled in the neighborhood surrounding the Wauseon Depot and the Fulton County Museum. Our museum was a former school and county hospital, and the railroad depot has travelers who have never left the station!
These tours are extremely popular and book quickly. Guided walking tours of no more than 12 people leave the Wauseon Depot every 15 minutes, beginning at 6:30 each night - rain or shine. Tours, which include first-person storytellers that tell you about their lives in the past, last around an hour.

Fort Meigs
Garrison Ghost Walk

Tours leave every 15 minutes. 7-8:30pm for all ages; 8:45 and 9pm for 18+ only
Join us for a "spirited" stroll as you walk the fort grounds with your 1812 guide and encounter the spookier side of this historic place. Enjoy hearing fun and eerie tales from the past by firelight as your group visits 4-5 storytelling stations within the fort after dark.  The tours last a little over an hour and are primarily outdoors. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Refreshments are available for purchase on-site. Appropriate for ALL ages! Note: The last two tours of the night are reserved for ages 18+. There is no change to the program for the 8:45 & 9pm tours. Online reservations required.

The popular Ghosts of Providence Lantern walk returns to the Canal with walks starting every 15 minutes from 7 to 8pm. Tours last about 45 minutes. You’ll meet characters from long ago that dwell in the ghost town of Providence on this lantern-lit walk through the region’s most unique historic park. This program is not recommended for children under 5.

Fall Color Cruise - Sandpiper Boat

Enjoy the Fall festival of color. Make sure to bring your camera for some of the most beautiful views along the Maumee River. As the leaves change, the river becomes even more breathtaking. This 2-hour cruise will leave you counting down the days until the next Sandpiper season.

Halloween Boo Cruise - Sandpiper Boat

MacQueen Orchard's Apple Butter Festival - Holland

Since 1982, the Apple Butter Stir Festival has been one of the best ways to celebrate the arrival of the fall season. Maumee Bay Haunted Glow Trail

Come for a glowing good time to this Haunted Trail of Past Park Friends that had a great time never wanted to leave. Sponsored by American Cultural Exchange Service & Friends of Maumee Bay. This fundraising event is family-friendly with no blood or gore. Glow face painting, Halloween Bake Sale. The event will also benefit the ACES families in Redding, CA who have lost their homes from the fires.

Spooktacular Shoot - Westwinds Metropark

The zombie apocalypse has once again descended on Westwinds. The park has been transformed into another world for a nighttime Halloween-themed archery shoot. Bring a flashlight, headlamp or both. Halloween costumes are encouraged and so is your favorite glow-wear (archery safe please). Have your own equipment? Test your skills on the zombie 3D course. If you need a bow to get the job done, Metroparks will provide the gear for beginners ages 8+ on the static range. Snacks and a campfire to keep you warm and full for the fight. Free. No registration required.

Historic Sauder Village - Fall on the Farm

Fall is a busy time of year on the farm! Plan a visit to help us with the harvest on this special day. Popular hands-on activities include leaf printing, decorating a pumpkin, exploring a straw maze, helping out in the gardens and kitchens. Based on century-old liturgy, a Harvest Home Service will be recreated in St. Mark's Church with short services throughout the day.

MacQueen's Run for Your Life 10k / 5k / Kid's Run

One week after the annual MacQueen Orchards Apple Butter Stir Festival, MacQueen’s will be hosting the Run for Your Life 10k / 5k / Kids Run, presented by NAIFA Toledo. Get ready for the Halloween season by coming as a family and trying out your costumes during the runs. The course starts and finishes at MacQueen Orchards and travels through the scenic and recently paved Holland roads.

Boo on the Boat - National Museum of the Great Lakes

The popular Ghosts of Providence Lantern walk returns to the Canal with walks starting every 15 minutes from 7 to 8pm. Tours last about 45 minutes. You’ll meet characters from long ago that dwell in the ghost town of Providence on this lantern-lit walk through the region’s most unique historic park. Tombstone Bike Tour - Oak Openings Preserve

Let us coerce your cadaver into the night as the 6 tombs along Adams St open to host the ultimate feast for the undead. Join us for Ohio's largest zombie gathering as we slump and stroll the streets in search of brains, beers, and booze! Your best drop-dead zombie attire is a must. Stay tuned for all the flesh-eating details you can stomach.
