Trails in all nine Metroparks of Toledo are rated for beginning skiers. All unpaved trails and open playfields in the Metroparks are suitable for cross-country skiing.

The Ribbon is connected to a 5,000-square-foot skating pond that offers a traditional ice rink experience for beginners and a series of special events and programs. Blue Creek Metropark

The former Nona France Quarry on State Route 64 (Waterville Street) and Providence Street, in Whitehouse/Waterville Township,,has one of the area's tallest sledding hills. Open 7 a.m. until dark.
Glass City Metropark
983 Front St., Toledo, OH
A lighted sledding hill provides great views of the Maumee River, Waite High School and three bridges: Veterans Memorial Skyway, Martin Luther King and Anthony Wayne. Entrances on Front Street at E. Broadway (main entrance), Morrison Street and Main Street.
Pearson Metropark
761 S. Lallendorf Rd., Oregon, OH
Lights allow for nighttime sledding on the sledding hill. The hill is next to Parking Lot 1, just across from the lake, where you can skate under lights when the ice is safe.
Side Cut Metropark
1025 W, River Rd., Maumee, OH
The Wagener Sledding Hill is located at the Silver Lake area at Side Cut. The addition of lights allows the fun to continue after dark.
Maumee Bay State Park
1400 State Park Rd., Oregon, OH
A 70-foot high hill is relatively steep with a long slope. It is west of the beach parking lot.
Ottawa Park
Ottawa Parkway, Toledo, OH
Three hills can be found throughout this park, ranging from small beginner hills to more moderate and steep slopes: two between the Amphitheater and the golf course, and one on the east side of Upton, between North Cove and Ottawa Dr.
Navarre Park
1001 White St., Toledo, OH
This moderately sized hill is steep and bumpy in places but can offer a great ride.
Northview High School
5403 Silica Dr., Sylvania, OH
This hill is lighted at night from a nearby school parking lot. The hill is very long and moderately sloped. Riders often build jumps and bumps to make the ride more exciting. There is a creek at the end of the hill, but each ride lands far enough away so any danger is minimal.
Harroun Community Park
5500 Main St., Sylvania, OH (at the rear of St. Joseph Church parking lot)
Located in Harroun Park, parts of the hill can offer even the most adventurous sledder a thrill. The hill is very steep and offers a short, fast ride among grooves and bumps in the slope. There is also a tamer hill located near the Lathrop House with a warming station.
Homecoming Hill at Homecoming Park
715 Lawrence Ave., Wauseon, OH
This hill boasts an average run-length of 100-feet. It is a moderate height and gives riders a long, fast ride.
