The DewDroppers EP release show is Saturday at OT

The DewDroppers, for my money, are one of the best bands in Ohio. The quartet carries an old-time rock-n-roll of yesteryear vibe that recalls the hey-day of late-'50s/early-'60s pop think Buddy Holly playing a high school dance with a modern indie rock edge. Too, there is a theatrical element, that brings to mind some weird indie-rock rambunctious musical theatre aspect. The band's music is irresistibly catchy, loveable, charming, and completely rad.

The band, made of Toledo-natives, currently based in Columbus, returns home this weekend to celebrate the release of their brand new EP, Nothing.Darling.Honey.Baby. Composed of spunky keyboard phrasing, throwback theatrical vocals, and endless strings of pop hooks, the four song release marks everything that this band does best (stream the EP free or buy it here for #2!).

Come check out The DewDroppers this Saturday, February 18 at the Ottawa Tavern, 1815 Adams St. You'll be glad you did. Opening acts are the one-man-space-pop band of Kellen & Me, and the Toledo debut of singer-songwriter Sam Arnold. No cover.
