Supersuckers blow up Frankie's

No matter what your band name says, when you’ve been doing something since 1988, chances are you don’t suck at it. Such is the case with the Supersuckers, the self-proclaimed greatest rock n’ roll band in the world. And when your fans include everyone from Bam Margera to Eddie Vedder to Lemmy, that claim is hard to contest.

Known for their high energy live shows and ass-kicking blend of country and punk rock, the Supersuckers are as close as you’ll get to melding Motorhead with Willie Nelson. With the band itself and legendary leader Eddie Spaghetti have hopped some of indie rock’s most notable labels through the years, including Sub Pop, Bloodshot, and Acetate. To that end, the Supersuckers are more than a good time cult favorite, they’re a living document of the undercurrent of American popular music culture.

Catch the Supersuckers at Frankie’s Inner City (308 Main St) on Thursday, December 8. Doors at 7:00 pm. Openers include Jesse Dayton, Gallows Bound, and The Dugouts. $13 advance, $15 at the door. www.innovationconcerts.com
