Walleye Street Hockey Program

The Toledo Walleye and the Ohio Council of Community Schools have teamed up again for the 2017-18 season to give school children in grades K-12 a hands-on, “hooked on hockey” experience, with the Walleye Street Hockey Program. Walleye players will visit eight local schools, with each school receiving an hour-long session to learn basic passing, shooting and stick-handling skills.

The kids selected for the program are rewarded for academic achievement, literacy, attendance and good behavior. The participating students will receive a hockey jersey and two tickets to a future Walleye game.
