The Arts Commission is proud to announce Art Loop | Holiday Loop, to take place on November 15, 2018. Kick off the holiday season by shopping with local artists! Get in the festive spirit as you explore downtown Toledo and shop for unique handmade fine arts and crafts, and one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and your home and office. This month features local vendors, holiday-themed exhibitions, live music, and lots of family friendly festive fun!

There are over 50 creative spaces, galleries and restaurants that participate in the Art Loop each month. For more event details and venue specifics please visit our website at TheArtsCommission.org/ArtLoop.

ART LOOP INFORMATION

The Art Loop is Toledo’s signature monthly arts experience. Explore the downtown creative community through self-guided tours of the art, artists, and spaces that inspire a vibrant Toledo. The Loop is a program of The Arts Commission, presented in partnership with the artists and participating venues who make it possible. Art Loop takes place each third Thursday of the month April-December, 5:30-9:00 p.m.

Art Loop is free and open to all. Wristbands to ride the Art Loop bus are $1.25 and include unlimited bus rides all evening.

The Main Library will be closing for the remainder of the 2018 Art Loop season as they embark on exciting new renovations. The Main Hub will now be located at the Imagination Station. ADMISSION IS $5 AFTER 5PM ON ART LOOP NIGHTS! For the Nov 15 find the perfect gift for the scientist in your family inside Science2Go, with a special Art Loop 10% discount! Enjoy music by Campanas Cristalis Handbell Ensemble. Use our laser machine to engrave your name—or a friend's, family member's or loved one's—on a handmade Christmas ornament. Plus, learn the science of spinning with local "spin"ologist Dr. Ray and his collection of tops and spinning squashes! You can take advantage of any available street parking or nearby parking garages. We suggest the Promedica Depo Parking Garage (corner of Summit & Jefferson - $5 fee).

Consider giving to support the Art Loop! Starting at $5 you receive 5 wristbands for the 2019 season. These funds help keep the program free and provide paid opportunities for local artists! Stop by any of our four locations; Handmade Toledo, Gathered Glassblowing Studio, Trinity Episcopal Church or Imagination Station. Every dollar you donate will be matched by the Community Foundation.

Make your way around the Loop to check out the local studios, galleries and production spaces. Please join us for this special opportunity to dance in one of Toledo's most inspiring and unique spaces! 6:30-7:30pm Waltz Lessons, taught by Gil Aromas and Kristin Reichardt Rummell from The Ballroom Company. 7- 7:30pm Demos by The Ballroom Company, Toledo Tango Club, Michal T Promotions, and more. 7:30-10:00pm Open dancing (ballroom, Latin, swing, tango, and more with DJ Steve Darmofal. Lessons are free, no experience needed, no need to sign-up just show up!

TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART
COMMUNITY EXHIBITION FREE ON THURSDAY’S FROM 5PM-9PM

The Toledo Museum of Art is proud to be a stop on the The Art Loop! TMA is offering free admission to view "Rebecca Louise Law: Community" on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors may claim their free timed ticket (one per person) at the information desk upon arrival. Thursday evening tickets will not be available in advance or online. Surround yourself in both dried and fresh plant materials that forms an immersive visitor experience exploring the relationship between humanity and nature, FREE Thursday's 5- 9pm. While you're there be sure to catch public Glassblowing demonstrations taking place in the Glass Pavilion Hot Shop.
