Music-filled Weekend Planned for the Toledo Museum of Art

The Toledo Museum of Art will host three concerts this weekend giving area residents multiple opportunities to enjoy musical performances at two different locations on the Museum’s campus.

It's Friday Music: Larry Fuller Trio
Friday, Dec. 7: 6:30-8:30 p.m., GlasSalon

Toledo native Larry Fuller returns to town with his piano trio for an evening of Jazz in the GlasSalon Friday, Dec. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission to the performance is free. Friday evening programs at the Toledo Museum of Art are supported in part by Fifth Third Bank.

Merry TubaChristmas
Sunday, Dec. 9: 1 p.m., Great Gallery

TubaChristmas is a music concert held in cities worldwide that celebrates those who play, teach and compose music for instruments in the tuba family. Every TubaChristmas performance features traditional Christmas carols especially arranged by American composer Alec Wilder. Merry TubaChristmas is presented by The University of Toledo Department of Music and the Toledo Museum of Art. This event is free to the public.

Great Performances: Messiaen, The Complete Vingt regards sur l'enfant-Jésus
Sunday, Dec. 9: 2-4:30 p.m.

Organized by pianist Isabelle O'Connell (Grand Band), this concert features O'Connell, Blair McMillen, Laura Melton, and Stephanie Titus performing Olivier Messiaen's complete Vingt regards sur l'enfant Jésus, a two-hour, 20 movement work that Messiaen completed in 1944.
