Gathered Glassblowing Studio, downtown Toledo’s premier studio gallery, is proud to showcase Manon VanScoder as a Featured Artist in their ongoing series, Loop Nights at Gathered. Gathered will host an opening and public reception to be held on August 15th, 2019 in conjunction with The Arts Commission Art Loop. As part of Gathered’s Featured Artist Series, VanScoder will be displaying a collection of photographs and assemblages titled But the Sun’s Been Quite Kind. VanScoder‘s work discusses the often fragile links between memory and experience, along with a juxtaposition of personal imagery, landscapes and found objects. VanScoder is a Toledo, OH based artist whose photographs have been featured both nationally and internationally and recently returned from a residency at the Baltic Analog Lab in Riga, Latvia.

A opening reception with refreshments will occur from 6-9pm, with music by Ramona and Trez, Motown and More.

Gathered will be featuring a cane glass (zanfirico) demonstration by Gathered owner Mike Stevens, along with printmaking demonstrations by their second-floor resident letterpress studio, The Black Iron Press.

Loop Nights at Gathered, a series of Featured Artist receptions hosted in conjunction with the Art Loop at Gathered Glassblowing Studio, announces new works by Manon VanScoder with a public reception on August 15, 2019 from 6-9pm. The Gathered hot shop will feature cane glass demonstrations by Mike Stevens, with letterpress demonstrations from upstairs studio Black Iron Press and music by the Ramona and Trez, Motown and More.
