Gathered to Feature Catherine Clements

Gathered Glassblowing Studio, downtown Toledo’s premier studio gallery, is proud to showcase Catherine Clements as a Featured Artist in their ongoing series, Loop Nights at Gathered. Gathered will host an opening and public reception to be held on Thursday,October 17th 2019 in conjunction with The Arts Commission Art Loop. As part of Gathered’s Featured Artist Series, Clements will be displaying an exhibition of artist books and print works titled Here and There. Here and There is a result of Clements’ reflections on personal nostalgia juxtaposed with the absurdities and trappings of contemporary culture. Clements, a Bowling Green OH native, received her MFA from the University of Georgia in Printmaking and Book Arts, and her BFA from Bowling Green State University. Clements has had her work exhibited nationally including exhibitions at Core New Art Space in Denver, CO, the Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis, MD, and the Pasaquan Visionary Art Site in Buena Vista, GA and currently lives in Athens, GA.

A opening reception with refreshments and music by Genre Ties will occur from 6-9pm.

Additionally, Gathered and Pegboard Press will cohost a night of printmaking demonstrations by Clements as part of a new artist residency program on Wednesday, October 16th 2019 from 6-8pm. 

Loop Nights at Gathered, a series of Featured Artist receptions hosted in conjunction with the Art Loop at Gathered Glassblowing Studio, announces new works by Catherine Clements with a public reception on October 17th, 2019 from 6-9pm. Clements will conduct a paper marbling demonstration along with letterpress demonstrations from upstairs studio Black Iron Press on October 16th, 2019 from 6-8pm.
