Stranger Things Star in Town to Film New Movie

Filmmakers have arrived in Northwest Ohio to shoot a dark comedy film.

The Cran is about a failed comedian who, after reconnecting with his ex, becomes complicit in an absurd revenge crusade that puts him in the crosshairs of a rural cult.

The film is written and directed by Bowling Green-native, Tyler Savino with Chase A. Crawford Executive Producing the Bucketnaut Films and Four by Three production.

The film stars SAG award-winner Joe Chrest (Stranger Things, Ant-Man), Matthew Alan Porter (Utopia) and Port Clinton-native Marlee Carpenter.

The Cran marks Tyler Savino’s feature film directorial debut and earns Porter and Carpenter their first starring roles. Crawford is an award-winning producer best known for producing Adam Conover’s Moondance and the Amazon Prime series Wildfire.

The Cran has an anticipated release of Summer 2021.
