Recognizing the immediate need for support to Toledo's artists affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Arts Commission has allocated $10,000 toward a new grant program for artists whose performances, exhibitions, and events have been cancelled due to this crisis.

Emergency Grants for Artists are first-come, first-served for eligible applications, with no set deadline. Grant amounts are available at $500, $250, and $100.

Full details on eligibility can be found in the attached guidelines or at https://theartscommission.org/forartists.

Simultaneously, The Arts Commission is launching a fundraiser for additional cycles of the Emergency Grants for Artists. Toledo's creative workforce has been hit especially hard during this unprecedented and challenging time. In the wake of massive event cancellations and the resulting loss of freelance income, many artists are feeling anxious about the future. The Arts Commission believes support for artists and creatives is essential to a brighter future for all of Toledo.

Those interested in donating can text "TOLEDOARTISTS" to 44-321 or visit https://secure.givelively.org/donate/arts-commission-of-greater-toledo-inc/emergency-artist-grants to give.

100% of funds raised for this program (less processing fees) will be used to support artists who have lost gigs or exhibitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
