Gathered Presents Hello Neighbor Window Exhibition

Eye On Art  |  05/29/2020 4:00 pm

Gathered Glassblowing Studio, downtown Toledo’s premier studio/gallery proudly presents Hello Neighbor, a group exhibition in association with Purple Window Gallery from June 4th- 27th, 2020. Featuring the works of local artists Jordan Buschur, James DirtyKics Dickerson, Cyd Gottlieb  and Katrina Niswander, Hello Neighbor speaks to the varied and diverse ways we seek connections with others through direct documentation, memory, history and conversation.  While Gathered’s gallery will remain open by appointment only for the foreseeable future, Hello Neighbor allows for the continuation of Gathered’s commitment to featuring Toledo artists through the windows of our storefront.

Gathered is partnering with Purple Window Gallery, a Chicago-based gallery space who initiated the Hello Neighbor series. Hello Neighbor is an open call for artists, designers, curators, and those willing to share their windows to participate. One parameter of the exhibition is to outline the glass of each window with purple tape and exhibit artwork within the window pane. Visit to view other collaborations from both national and international participants.

While no opening reception is planned at this time due to COVID-19, the public is invited to view the exhibition from outside our storefront at 23 N. Huron while safely maintaining social distancing rules mandated by the State of Ohio and follow us on social media (@gatheredglass) for additional programming related to Hello Neighbor.
