Summer Read is back at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library for the 96th annual year! It's free and open to all ages. The goal is to encourage reading for fun! Log each day that you read for 20 minutes or more between June 1 - August 1 and be entered to win some awesome prizes.

  • Read or listen to a book 30 days (at least 20 minutes daily), between June 1 - August 1, 2020.
  • Color each day on the tracker card or track electronically on Beanstack.
  • Redeem tracker card or complete online tracker for a special reward and to be eligible for grand prize drawings including gift cards to local businesses.
  • Tracker cards can be picked up from weatherproof boxes at any Library location or by downloading and printing at toledolibrary.org/summerread.

Thanks to the generosity of the Library Legacy Foundation, the Library is able to provide the following rewards for readers this summer:

  • Register for the program: pick up a Summer Reader yard sign from your nearest library (while supplies last).
  • Complete the program: Kids may pick up a free book after August 1. Teens and Adults will get a “Just Read” oval sticker.
  • Everyone who completes the program and enters virtual tickets in the drawing has a chance to win a grand prize.

TLCPL is proud of the continued partnership with Connecting Kids to Meals. This year, 10,000 Summer Read Trackers will be distributed with meals for kids to participate.
