The Arts Commission Kicks off new Art Box initiative for the June Art Loop

Eye On Art  |  06/17/2020 4:00 pm

The Arts Commission announces a new way to get creative and try new skills at home this summer with Art Box. In lieu of in-person activities, Art Box will allow The Arts Commission to continue to engage the community through the arts while also supporting local artists and businesses.

The Arts Commission hired local artists to help design creative prompts and select a variety of art supplies that suit people of all ages and skill levels. The Arts Commission will comply with all State of Ohio guidelines. As such, Art Loop will not be hosting its traditional in-person programming June- August 2020. Planning for gatherings in September and beyond will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Art Box is a curated set of art supplies for all ages, skill levels and interests to create and learn with Toledo-area artists. Art Boxes are $30 each and come with prompts designed by local artists.

What’s in the Box? The Art Box includes a curated set of art supplies and materials with project ideas, instructions and techniques used by local artists.

Art Box is designed for people of all ages and skill levels and suits both solo artists and collaborators.

You can purchase an Art Box through our website at www.theartscommission.org/theartloop. You also have the opportunity to donate  an Art Box. Donated Art Boxes will be provided to Toledo-area families through the Creative Placemaking program.
