The Arts Commission Now Hiring Two Part-Time Positions

The Arts Commission is now accepting applications for two part-time positions, one AmeriCorps member to serve as a Cultural Assets Research and Mapping Coordinator and one position for a Public Art Coordinator. The Art in Public Places Coordinator will work with the Director of Art in Public Places to identify opportunities for arts programming and activities within designated neighborhoods, and provide on-the ground support to make those activities come to life. This is a part-time position.

The Cultural Assets Research and Mapping Coordinator will work with the Creative Placemaking program to build on the preliminary ideation regarding the "culture trail" connecting neighborhoods from Junction to East Toledo, work collaboratively to advance community engagement, and other coordination. This is a part-time, temporary position.

Since 1977, The Arts Commission has managed the City of Toledo's One Percent for Art ordinance, the first public art program of its kind in Ohio and the inspiration for the state's own program.
