Toledo Lucas County Public Library Updated Services

In accordance with Toledo-Lucas County Health Department stay-at-home advisory, all Library locations will be closed to walk-in traffic starting on Saturday, Nov. 21, we will maintain our regular open hours and have many ways to help you:

Activities to GoVisit any location for contactless pick up of the latest set of Activities to Go. Each envelope has directions and supplies for fun activities at home for preschoolers, kids ages 5 – 10, or teens.

Book Bundles:  They'll put together a Book Bundle for children, teens and adults. Choose a category or let us surprise you. Complete a request form or call any location.

Computer use by appointment: Call 419-259-5200 or any location to schedule one hour of computer time. Customers age 2 and older are required to wear masks. If you have a medical exemption they ask that you make a computer reservation at one of our locations with an accommodation space. Accommodation spaces are available at Heatherdowns, Kent, Main, Mott, Oregon, Reynolds Corners, Sanger, Sylvania, and West Toledo.

Computer help: We can answer your questions about computers, phones, tablets, email, Microsoft products and more. Call 419.259.5200 with your questions or to schedule a one-to-one virtual appointment.

Grab & Go pick up: Just request books in the catalog or by phone from any location. When you are notified the materials have arrived, schedule pickup at your preferred location.

Homebound delivery: Mobile Services contactless home delivery is vital for people who are homebound. Call 419.259.5350 or apply with this form.

Personalized book recommendations: You can tell them what you have liked reading in the past and we’ll make recommendations just for you! Use this form to tell them what you have liked in the past, or call any location.

PreK - 12 help: No matter where you are teaching or learning this year, the Library is here to help. On this one-stop web page, you can request a class visit or book collection, watch recorded Library programs and storytimes, get Library cards, access booklists by email, search our catalog for Accelerated Reader books, and explore our topic collections. Helpful video links show you (and your students) how to access our learning, research, and reading resources. They also have:

  • Live homework help and tutoring is available daily from noon to midnight at Tutor.com.
  • Free printable worksheets and activity pages on hundreds of topics can be found at Scholastic Teachables.
  • No printer at home? Contact your nearest Library for help printing up to 10 free pages per day.

Printing, copying, faxing, and scanning: Call any location and we’ll provide contactless assistance.

Virtual programsFrom Saturday Morning with the Library to virtual Book Groups and programs for teens, you can participate in Library programs from your phone, computer or tablet.

Zoom librarian appointment: Contact the Fact & Fiction Department to request a Zoom appointment. You can ask reference questions or get reading recommendations with a one-to-one Librarian conversation. Just call 419.259.5311 or send them an email.
