Erie St. Toledo, OH (same side as Libbey Glass).  Donations and volunteers can visit www.callistoterra.com for more details.

Taylor Holloway, single mother of four and local small business owner, is stepping out in faith to bring some warmth and light to downtown Toledo with a unique handmade candle workshop experience. Taylor grew up in Toledo with the odds stacked against her. Despite her rocky childhood, she wanted something better for her life and for her children. She dreamed of owning her own business and showing her kids how to step into the life that they want, and after years of committing to herself, she is doing just that.

Taylor’s experience as an event coordinator and passion for crafts fueled her entrepreneurial journey. She has joined over two dozen vendor events this summer while operating two other online businesses and side jobs to make sure all the bills got paid. In addition to raising her kids, she builds up her fellow small businesses through sharing support and hosting events such as Stroll, Shop, Dine at the Shrine in Oregon, Ohio on June 5th of this year.

Running multiple apparel, decor, and print business ventures out of her home over the years has paved the way for Callisto Terra - offering Handmade soy Candles and Melts. Taylor loved the experience of candle making and it’s therapeutic process so much that she wanted to share it with her community. Now her dream is quickly becoming a reality. Taylor is launching her first candle shop & studio this September.

About The Callisto Terra Shop: The vision for Callisto Terra is to provide a relaxing and creative atmosphere for customers to get the full candle making experience and be able to shop from a variety of handmade candles, melts and items from local artists. The shop is set for a soft opening on September 11th and will be located in the new artist mall, Art on Market Shoppes, downtown at 201 S. Erie St. Toledo, OH. It’s right by the Farmers Market and the entrance is near Libbey Glass.

About the Fundraiser: For those brave enough to chase their dreams, it takes guts, hard work, finances, and community. Taylor’s business associate and friend, Rebecca Tansel, launched a $4,000 fundraising campaign to help with up-front costs and supplies.

They are eagerly seeking sponsors, financial donations and handyman volunteers to help the transition of renovating the space and purchasing equipment. A go-fund-me account and Amazon Wish List is set up to assist with these needs. If you would like to be a part of this journey, you can make a donation, volunteer, or purchase candles and melts at https://www.callistoterra.com/
