Toledo Museum of Art and Community Partners to host Veterans Day Events

The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) is a member of Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and American museums providing free offerings and admission to the nation's active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

TMA, in collaboration with the Lucas County Veterans Service Commission and other community partners, presents a host of Veterans Day activities:
When: Thursday, Nov. 11 Time: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

At the Museum:
TMA parking for veterans, active-duty and military families is FREE
Levis Gallery: Veterans, active-duty and military families are invited for FREE admission on Nov. 11 to TMA to explore The Age of Armor: Treasures from the Higgins Armory Collection at the Worcester Art Museum. The exhibition runs now through Feb. 27, 2022. The Age of Armor explores how suits of armor, and the warriors who wore them, have been used in various forms around the globe, from antiquity to modern times.
Museum Cafe: Veterans, active-duty and military families are invited on Nov. 11 to a DISCOUNTED Veterans Day meal special.
Museum Store: Veterans, active-duty and military families (one per family) are invited to stop by on Nov. 11 to pick up a FREE gift.
Other TMA activities:
When: Saturday, Nov. 20 Times: Workshops conducted at: noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Veterans Glassblowing Day: In honor of Veterans Day, all veterans and active-duty service members will have the opportunity to participate in a FREE glassblowing workshop.

In the Community:
TMA is proud to be a vendor at the 17th Annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast & Resource Fair on Nov. 11 hosted by the Lucas County Veterans Service Commission in partnership with the Red Cross and the University of Toledo.
The Age of Armor: Treasures from the Higgins Armory Collection at the Worcester Art Museum was organized by the Worcester Art Museum. The exhibition is sponsored locally by presenting sponsors Taylor Cadillac and Susan and Tom Palmer, as well as 2021 Exhibition Program sponsor ProMedica, with additional support from the McLoughlin Family Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.
