City of Toledo and Community Partners Host Second 2024 Clean Toledo Recycling Event

The City of Toledo, in collaboration with community partners, is pleased to announce the second 2024 Clean Toledo Recycling event, in a series of free drop-off recycling events throughout the summer at various locations in the city.

This is the perfect opportunity for residents to join in recycling efforts while celebrating sustainability and the environment. By participating in the Clean Toledo Recycling events, residents can make a meaningful impact on our local environment and contribute to a cleaner, greener Toledo.

Residents are encouraged to bring a variety of acceptable items for recycling, including:

  • Tires: Up to 10 tires on or off the rim (no commercial tires) at a cost of $0.50 each.
  • Bulky items and refuse: Air conditioning units, refrigerators/freezers, and large appliances.
  • Cardboard, phone books, and newspapers
  • Document shredding and recycling
  • Electronic waste: TVs and CRT monitors.
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Paint and stains: Oil-based paints, stains, and latex paint.
  • Packing styrofoam: No plates, cups, or other food-grade containers.
  • Residential yard waste: Sticks, branches, leaves, and grass clippings.
  • Scrap metal
  • Clothing and household goods
  • Medical equipment: Accepted on April 20th, August 24th, and October 5th.

These events are made possible thanks to the participation of vendors including Enviro-Tire, Lott Industries, ERG, American Paint Recyclers, The Ability Center, Aim Ecycling, and Gateway Recycling.

The Clean Toledo Recycling events are a joint effort of the City of Toledo's Divisions of Environmental Services and Urban Beautification, Keep Toledo Lucas County Beautiful, and Ohio EPA. With community participation and these partnerships, we aim to ensure a clean and bright future for all residents.

All residents are invited to take part in the Clean Toledo Recycling events and join this our mission to recycle and protect our community and environment. Together, we can make Toledo a better place for everyone.
