River Raisin Americana and The River Raisin Centre for the Arts are proud to present the River Raisin Americana Celebration, a multi-act concert event designed to explore the rich heritage of Americana music while supporting Monroe County’s only brick-and- mortar arts establishment. The River Raisin Centre for the Arts plays a vital role in fostering creativity, education, and performance in Southeast Michigan.

Taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, starting at 6:30pm, this extraordinary evening will feature six established and emerging acts from near and far, each bringing their unique style and stories to the stage. This event is an opportunity to showcase these incredible artists and support an important community institution by sharing the beauty of Americana music!

What is Americana Music?
Americana music represents the crossroads of American culture. With its rich tapestry of roots influences blending folk, country, blues, bluegrass, R&B, and rock, this genre tells authentic stories of everyday life, resilience, and connection. The River Raisin Americana Celebration will showcase Michigan’s own powerful contributions to Americana, from Motown’s soulful influence to the state’s deep roots in folk and rock music.

Announcing the 2025 Lineup:

The River Raisin Americana Celebration is thrilled to announce its six featured acts:

  • Headlining the event is eight time Detroit Music Award winners, The Gasoline Gypsies, a high-energy rock-Americana band renowned for their four part vocal harmonies, dual lead guitars, and a tasty rhythm section built on drums, bass, and keys. Joining them are some exciting artists from Michigan and beyond:

  • Luke Trimble: Raised in Paintsville, Kentucky, Luke is deeply influenced by the rich musical heritage that his hometown holds. With his captivating voice and heartfelt lyrics, Luke is on his way to becoming the next great artist to come out of Paintsville.

  • Silver Creek Revival: The robust musical talent coming out of Michigan often leads one to think that “there must be something in the water.” This feels accurate for alt- country/indie folk band, Silver Creek Revival, who’s namesake flows through the wooded property near their rehearsal space in Northern Lower Michigan.

  • Daniel Neihoff: Raised in Kentucky, Daniel grew up in a family of songwriters, with both his father and grandmother crafting melodies and lyrics. He wrote his first song at 8 years old, surrounded by a family fit for country songs – the old kind about struggle and lonesomeness, mistakes among enduring love. The melodies and legends were all around him in his family, and it all seeped in.

  • Mike Ward: PsychoSongs: Detroit singer-songwriter Mike Ward is known for his lyrically-centric, vocally-charged folk songs. His intimate songwriting echoes through empty city streets, back country roads, and family portraits. As a special treat, Mike willbe performing as a trio for this performance.

  • Blockhouse Valley: This Americana folk quartet brings a unique blend of styles and sounds to their original music as they play on themes and experiences from growing up in the American Rust Belt.

General Admission tickets are on sale now with early supporter pricing at $25 throughout the month of February. Starting March 1st, tickets increase to $30 through the day of the show. Please note that all ticket purchases will include a $3 processing fee.
