New Developments, Historic Church Part of Wander the Warehouse Tour September 14

Wander the Warehouse, the annual tour of newly completed and in-progress developments in Toledo’s historic downtown Warehouse District, returns Sunday, September 14, from noon to 4 p.m. The annual event is sponsored by and benefits the Toledo Warehouse District Association.

This year’s tour will include an historic church, newly completed residential and commercial spaces, as well as developments still underway in historic warehouse buildings.

Tickets, $15, are now on sale at https://www.toledowarehouse.org. Tickets purchased online can be picked up at the will call tent in the EZ Parking lot next to Grumpy’s restaurant at the corner of S. Huron and Lafayette Streets, where tickets can also be purchased starting at noon the day of the event. Limited parking will be available at that location and at three other locations: Historic St. Patrick’s Church, 513 Washington and Ohio Plate Glass. Parking on downtown streets is free on weekends.

Locations on the tour

Historic Church of St. Patrick, 130 Avondale Avenue. The church, with its classic gothic architecture, is celebrating its 125th anniversary year.

Burt’s Theater, 725 Jefferson Street, an historic theater recently converted to apartments. The building was part of last year’s tour, when construction was just beginning.

Huron Yards, 23-33 N. Huron Street and 28 N. Erie Street, an in-progress mixed-use development with apartments, retail space, a tavern, a beer garden, a winery and artists’ workspace.

Bassett Nut Co. building, 43 S. Huron Street, the new home of Polaris Logistics Group.

Ohio Plate Glass building, 305 Morris Street, which is being redeveloped into office space for Mosser Construction Co. and Foundation Steel.
