Franklin Park Mall Unwraps a Season of Holiday Magic and Memories

Franklin Park Mall is welcoming the holiday season with a blend of cherished traditions and exciting new experiences that fill the center with festive energy. From Santa’s Wishing Garden and community giving programs to live music and family-friendly events, the mall is where the joy and excitement of the holidays truly come alive.

“The holidays are our busiest and most joyful time of year,” said Casey Pogan, General Manager of Franklin Park Mall. “We love seeing families make memories here, whether it’s visiting Santa, shopping for the perfect gift, or taking part in one of our community events. There’s a special energy throughout the center that makes this season unlike any other.”

With something happening nearly every week, guests can enjoy a wide variety of holiday events and experiences throughout the season, from heartwarming traditions to playful, picture-perfect fun.

Black Friday at Franklin Park Mall
Friday, November 28, 8 am – 9 pm

Whether the draw is the deals, the festive atmosphere, or a cherished family tradition, Franklin Park Mall is the place to start the season. Shoppers can explore more than 150 of the region’s best brands, all in one convenient location. Extended holiday hours begin at 8 am, with select stores opening even earlier. Guests are encouraged to check with individual retailers while planning their visit.

Visits with Santa: Where You Make Holiday Memories
November 28 – December 24,  Santa’s Wishing Garden, Center Court

The holiday season officially begins when Santa takes his seat at Franklin Park Mall! Families are invited to visit Santa’s Wishing Garden for cherished photos and magical moments surrounded by twinkling lights and holiday cheer.

  • Monday – Friday: 11 am – 7 pm
  • Saturday: 11 am – 8 pm
  • Sunday: 12 – 6 pm

December 24, Christmas Eve: 10 am – 4 pm

Santa Specials:

  • Children’s Wonderland Gift (Friday, Nov. 28):  Visit Santa on his first day at Franklin Park Mall and receive a ticket to Children’s Wonderland at Tam-O-Shanter (Dec. 12 – 24).
  • Early Bird Weekday Special (Nov. 28–Dec. 5, Mon–Thurs): Two photo prints and a free digital download with four images for $39.95.
  • A Cozy Treat for All: Monday–Thursday, kids receive a free hot cocoa from Franklin Perk Café with the purchase of a Santa photo package. Friday–Sunday, Santa visitors enjoy 15% off their Franklin Perk Cafe purchase.

Angel Trees for Lucas County Children Services
November 18 – December 18

In partnership with Lucas County Children Services, guests can help make the season brighter for local children and teens in the foster care system.  The Angel Trees, located atSanta’s Wishing Garden in Center Court, are adorned with tags representing each child’s holiday wish list. Shoppers are encouraged to select a tag, purchase gifts, and return the unwrapped items, with the tag attached, to the donation box in the Food Court. All donated gifts will be collected and distributed to children and teens throughout Lucas County.

Team Spirit Santa
Saturday, November 29, 11 am – 8 pm, Santa’s Wishing Garden, Center Court

As Ohio State and Michigan face off in their legendary rivalry game, Santa is getting in the spirit too, sporting Buckeye and Wolverine (and hometown favorite Toledo Rockets) Santa hats. Guests in team gear will receive a complimentary 5x7 photo with Santa.  Guests purchasing a photo package will receive a $10 gift card to an athletic apparel store. 

Cinemark Holiday Movie Clubhouse
November 29 – December 17, Cinemark Theater at Franklin Park Mall

Celebrate the season with big-screen classics the whole family can enjoy! The Holiday Movie Clubhouse returns to Cinemark with a lineup of beloved holiday favorites that bring the magic of the season to life.

  • December 13 & 17: Elf

Merry TUBACHRISTMAS® Concert

A Franklin Park Mall favorite returns for its fourth year! The world-renowned TUBACHRISTMAS® concert fills the mall with deep, resonant tones of tuba and euphonium music — a joyful, can’t-miss celebration of sound and community. As the only TUBACHRISTMAS® location in Northwest Ohio, this event draws participants and visitors from across the region for a performance that’s as unique as it is uplifting.

Holiday Piano Performance
Saturday, December 6, 12 – 4 pm, H&M Wing Court

Talented young musicians from the Piano Teachers Association will perform live throughout the afternoon, creating a beautiful soundtrack for holiday shopping. This treasured community event continues to delight guests and tenants year after year.

Soothing Santa

Franklin Park Mall is proud to offer a sensory-friendly Santa experience for children and families with sensory sensitivities. Lighting and sound will be adjusted for comfort, allowing guests to enjoy personal time with Santa in a calm, welcoming setting. Reservations are required.

Santa Paws – Pet Photos with Santa
Monday, December 8, 3 – 7 pm, Santa’s Wishing Garden, Center Court
Furry friends deserve festive fun too! Cats and dogs are invited to pose with Santa for adorable keepsake photos, creating paws-itively perfect holiday memories.

Merry Mean One Photos with Santy Claus
Wednesday, December 10, 4 – 7 pm, Santa’s Wishing Garden, Center Court

In celebration of the 25th anniversary release of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Franklin Park Mall invites families to join in some mischievous holiday fun. Guests can visit Santa’s Wishing Garden for a spirited photo experience featuring Santa and The Mean One together. Shoppers are encouraged to wear their best Whoville-inspired attire for this playful twist on a classic Santa visit.  The first 25 guests to purchase any Mean One photo package will receive a $10 Cinemark gift card, perfect for treating the family to popcorn and snacks while enjoying the 25th anniversary screening of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Cinemark.

Kids Club Santa Pajama Party

Presented with Toledo Area Parent and Educare Academy, this festive pajama party includes crafts, letters to Santa, story time, snowman dancing courtesy of Diva Dance, and complimentary cocoa and cookies from Franklin Perk Cafe. Kids are encouraged to attend in their favorite pajamas for this magical morning of fun.

Green One Fun Day

He’s green, he’s grouchy, and he’s ready for fun! Families can join the “Green One” for interactive games, themed crafts, and photo ops in a joyful Whoville-inspired celebration that captures the sillier side of the season.

The sounds of the season fill the air as Liz Baldwin and her talented vocal students share their gift of music. Shoppers can enjoy classic carols and modern holiday favorites performed throughout the mall.
