Dates for 2026 Friends of the Library Book Sales Announced

Friends of the Library (FOL) will host eight book sales in 2026, where customers can purchase gently-used, well-loved books for $1 each. More than 30,000 hardcover and paperback books are available for purchase, along with CDs, DVDs, audiobooks on CD and cassette, records, board games and more. The 2026 FOL book sale schedule is:

• Jan. 15–17
• Feb. 26–28
• April 9–11
• May 14–16
• June 25–27
• Aug. 6–8
• Sept. 17–19
• Nov. 5–7

Book sales are held at the Friends of the Library Book Center, which is located at 1301 N. Reynolds Road near the corner of Reynolds Road and Dorr Street.

Book sale hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Friends of the Library members receive early access from noon to 4 p.m. on the Thursday of each book sale. They also receive a 10% discount on book sale purchases. Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that encourages, promotes and supports the ongoing development and use of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. This membership organization offers support for the Library’s summer concert series, Authors! events, Summer Read, local branch activities and levy campaigns.
