Take a step back in time—3,300 years ago to be exact—to the Valley of Kings, where King Tutankhamun was laid to rest, when you enter Imagination Station’s newest exhibit, TUTANKHAMUN: “Wonderful Things” Treasures From The Pharaoh’s Tomb, opening on January 30, presented by FiberFrame. It’s an unforgettable exploration that puts you right in the rich history of the 18th Dynasty in Ancient Egypt.

When you step into TUTANKHAMUN, you’ll see exactly what historian Howard Carter saw when he uncovered King Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922, the most extraordinary archaeological find of all time.

The new exhibit features over 100 museum-quality reproductions that were created in The Pharaonic Village in Egypt to replicate the life, death and burial of King Tut as well as the discovery of his tomb.

What: New Exhibit TUTANKHAMUN: “Wonderful Things” Treasures From the Pharaoh’s Tomb Opens at Imagination Station

When: Friday, January 30 | Media Preview: Thursday, January 29

With five different sections in the exhibit, TUTANKHAMUN shows you rich recreations of the pharaoh’s sacred and personal possessions, including his magnificent royal chair and footrest, his funerary mask and mummy case—plus more of the “Wonderful Things” Howard Carter saw when he opened the inconspicuous tomb.

Known as the Boy King, Tutankhamun ruled for less than a decade before his death. Despite his short-lived reign, King Tut and Ancient Egypt have fascinated audiences and scientists for decades. The Ancient Egyptians believed deeply in the power of science and made numerous scientific discoveries that are still used today, including inventing paper, writing and advancing architecture and engineering.

One of their greatest contributions to science was King Tut’s tomb. Because Tutankhamun had been largely forgotten as a ruler, his tomb wasn't raided and was left intact until Carter found it in 1922. King Tut's tomb was filled with artifacts that sparked discovery into Ancient Egypt and the young pharaoh's life using new technologies.

Now visitors can relive one of the greatest events in history when TUTANKHAMUN: “Wonderful Things” Treasures From The Pharaoh’s Tomb opens on January 30 at Imagination Station. The exhibit is included with admission and runs until April 26, 2026. More information can be found at imaginationstationtoledo.org.
