Sylvania Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies to be held on Monday, May 25, 2026

Sylvania’s Memorial Day Celebration continues to be one of the most meaningful and well-attended commemorations in Northwest Ohio. The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with local veterans' groups and the City of Sylvania, invites the community to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

The Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026.

The day will begin with a solemn service at 9:00 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, located at 6382 Monroe Street, to honor the more than 14,000 local veterans laid to rest there.

The Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10:15 a.m. from Saint Joseph Parish, 5373 Main Street. The parade route is as follows:

Saint Joseph Parish – Launch from East Parking Lot
North on Main Street
West (Left) on Monroe Street
North (Right) on Judi Young Lane
West (Left) on Maplewood Avenue
North (Right) on Phillips Avenue
West (Left) on Erie Street
North (Right) on Garden Park Drive
Parade End: Veterans Memorial Park

A Memorial Day Service will take place immediately following the parade at Veterans Memorial Park. The service will be led by City of Sylvania Mayor Mark Frye, who will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to gather in Sylvania and join in this important community tradition of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
