The Toledo Lucas County Public Library will host a community celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, to commemorate the Waterville Branch’s 100th anniversary.

The free, family-friendly event will include games and activities, food trucks and the Metroparks Toledo rock climbing wall. Members of the Marching Generals will also perform.

“For 100 years, the Waterville Branch has been a place where people come to learn, connect and grow,” said Toledo Library Executive Director Jason Kucsma. “This celebration is a chance to honor the generations who have made this library part of their lives and to look ahead to the next century of serving this community.”

The Waterville Branch began in 1926 inside Waterville Elementary School. Its current building, located at 800 Michigan Ave. in Waterville, Ohio, opened in 1964. One of the Library’s most visited locations, the branch was renovated in 1980 and expanded in 2004 to better serve the growing community.
