The Toledo Lucas County Public Library will welcome bestselling fiction, romance and horror authors this summer through its visiting author programs.

Authors! with Natasha Lester
Thursday, June 4: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
Natasha Lester is a New York Times best-selling author and former marketing executive known for her meticulously researched historical fiction highlighting the lives of extraordinary women. Her new novel, The Chateau on Sunset, is a feminist reimagining of Jane Eyre set against the backdrop of Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont between the 1950s and 1970s. Join Lester to discuss her career and latest work. This event features a 45-minute presentation followed by a brief audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.

Authors! with Jess Walter
Wednesday, June 10: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Jess Walter joins Authors! to discuss his latest novel, So Far Gone. Walter is known for his blend of sharp social observation, humor and emotional depth. This event features a 45-minute presentation followed by a brief audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.

Romance-Con Presents: Lindsey Kelk and Julie Soto
Saturday, June 13: 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Main Library
Best-selling authors Julie Soto and Lindsey Kelk will discuss romance writing, friendship and genre storytelling during this installment of Romance-Con Presents. Romance-Con Presents is an author series devoted to the romance genre and the authors behind it. Each program features a discussion followed by audience Q&A. Books will be available for sale at the event. A signing and photo opportunity will follow the talk. Advance registration is encouraged. This program is presented by Toledo Library with support from Destination Toledo.

Authors! with Ruta Sepetys
Thursday, June 18: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Ruta Sepetys joins Authors! to discuss her latest novel, A Fortune of Sand. Known for her deeply researched historical fiction and commitment to uncovering overlooked stories, Sepetys will discuss the inspiration behind her work and the research that informs her writing. This event features a 45-minute presentation followed by a brief audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.

Online Romance Book Club Visiting Author: Never Cross a Highlander by Lisa Rayne
Wednesday, June 24: 7–8 p.m., Online Program
Romance readers are invited to join the Online Romance Book Club, which explores themes and tropes across the genre, from enemies-to-lovers stories to fantasy romance. Meetings take place via Zoom, and registered participants will receive login information prior to the event. Author events feature a guided conversation with the moderator followed by participant Q&A.

Authors! with Lindy Ryan
Thursday, June 25: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
Award-winning author and anthologist Lindy Ryan joins Authors! to discuss her latest slasher novel, Dollface. Ryan is known for her work across fiction and film and for amplifying women’s voices in horror. This event features a 45-minute presentation followed by a brief audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.

Authors! with Daniel Kraus
Thursday, July 16: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
Best-selling author Daniel Kraus will discuss his latest novel, The Sixth Nik. A Midland, Michigan native, Kraus is known for acclaimed fiction and nonfiction works, including his collaboration with Guillermo del Toro on The Shape of Water. The event features a 45-minute presentation followed by audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.

Romance-Con Presents: Mazey Eddings
Saturday, July 18: 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Main Library
Best-selling author Mazey Eddings will discuss romance writing, mental health representation and her latest work during this installment of Romance-Con Presents. With roots in Ohio and Philadelphia, Eddings now lives in North Carolina. Each program features a discussion with the author followed by audience Q&A. Books will be available for sale at the event. A signing and photo opportunity will follow the talk. Advance registration is encouraged. This program is presented and sponsored by the Toledo Library Disability Pride Group.

Authors! with Kelly Rimmer
Thursday, July 22: 7–8 p.m., Main Library
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kelly Rimmer will discuss her new novel, The Story Keeper. Rimmer will explore the art of weaving dual narratives, the appeal of book-within-a-book mysteries and the enduring power of family stories. This event features a 45-minute presentation followed by a brief audience Q&A. Each ticket includes a copy of the book.
