The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) is proud to announce that it will serve as an official host site for America 250-Ohio: Homecoming and Picnic, a statewide celebration bringing communities together across Ohio. The free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11 AM to 3 PM on the Glass Pavilion Lawn and inside the Glass Pavilion.
The event invites guests of all ages to come together to make memories and enjoy a day rooted in creativity, history, and community spirit — all on the grounds of one of America's premier art museums.
“Throughout the United States, communities will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. In Ohio, there will be hundreds of events in all 88 counties. The Toledo Museum of Art is honored to host a signature Ohio’s Homecoming & Picnic on its beautiful grounds, and we invite everyone to join us,” said Jennifer McCary, Chief Culture and Brand Experience Officer, Toledo Museum of Art.

This event coincides with a milestone year for the Museum: TMA celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2026, making the Homecoming and Picnic an especially meaningful occasion for the Toledo community and visitors from across the region.
"America is turning 250. We're turning 125. Only July 11, we're celebrating both the same way our community always has — gathering together to enjoy good food and great company," McCary said.
Ohio’s Homecoming and Picnic at TMA, brought to you by the America 250-Ohio Commission and presented by Cenovus Energy, is celebrated alongside the Toledo Museum of Art’s 125th Anniversary, with additional support from The Worthington Companies Foundation and The Marzetti Company.
