Free Summer Lunch Program Returns to Toledo Library Locations

What: Young people in Lucas County can once again access free weekday lunches at participating Toledo Library locations this summer through a partnership with Connecting Kids to Meals.

Beginning Tuesday, June 2, free lunches will be available Monday through Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the following Toledo Library branches:

  • Birmingham
  • Heatherdowns
  • Kent
  • Lagrange
  • Locke
  • Main Library
  • Mott
  • Oregon
  • Point Place
  • Reynolds Corners
  • Sanger
  • South
  • West Toledo

The summer meal schedule will continue through Friday, Aug. 21.

Meals are available onsite for all youth 18 and younger with no registration or income requirements. Children do not need a Library card to participate.

About Connecting Kids to Meals: Connecting Kids to Meals is a nonprofit organization that provides free, nutritious meals to children in underserved communities throughout the year by partnering with schools, libraries and community organizations. Since 2002, the organization has served nearly 9 million meals to children across the region.
