The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) hosts its first Legislative Day Monday, June 15 at its Central Avenue location (1127 W. Central, Toledo), offering public officials a peek behind the curtain of the day-to-day operations of a public transit agency.

From 10 a.m. to noon, lawmakers and local leaders will visit different stations for brief updates on different aspects of TARTA, including:

  • Capital Improvement & Investment

  • Community Impact

  • Human Resources & Workforce Development

  • Maintenance

  • New Vehicles

  • Planning & Service Development

“We are thrilled to provide this avenue for public officials to find out more about what we do, ask questions and, most importantly, get answers from our leadership team,” said TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski. “Securing proper funding to maintain a transit system through vehicles, technology and safety improvements is so important, and strengthening these relationships will help us continue to connect people to opportunity.

“I am proud to be a part of the team here at TARTA and to work with people every day who do their part to make life a little better for our community. The skill and dedication of our team inspires me, and I am looking forward to our guests being able to experience the same thing.”
