Olympian Scott Hamilton Bringing Cancer Fundraiser to The Ribbon

Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton is scheduled to participate in Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer®, a fundraiser for the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, July 10 at The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark.

Participants can roll 20 laps around The Ribbon on roller skates or scooters in honor and remembrance of those you know who have been impacted by cancer. There are two sessions: 4:30 to 6:30 or 7 to 9 p.m. The cost to register is $35 and includes a T-shirt.

Proceeds from the event support cancer research through the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation and its healthcare partners at Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo.

The event is a summer version of a successful ice-skating fundraiser in January. Mr. Hamilton was scheduled to attend the earlier event, but winter weather and his Olympics travel schedule prevented him from coming. Fundraisers who raise $1,000 or more will be invited to a meet and greet with Mr. Hamilton during the event.
