Romance-Con Free Author Talk Reservations Open Sept. 1
Daily Dose | 07/06/2026 3:30 pm
Free reservations for the Toledo Lucas County Public Library's headlining and featured Romance-Con author talks will be available beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1 for traditional library cardholders and Wednesday, Sept. 2 for the general public. Registration opens at 9 a.m. on both days through the Library's website.
The headlining and featured author talks are just one part of Romance-Con, a free, daylong celebration of romance books and readers. Guests are welcome to attend the convention without reservations to enjoy workshops, panel discussions, an author fair featuring dozens of romance writers, vendor experiences and other activities throughout the day.
This year's headlining authors are USA Today bestselling author Adriana Herrera and No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Ali Hazelwood. Featured authors Elizabeth Stephens and Julian Winters also will appear.
To provide equal access for traditional library cardholders and the general public, reservations for the author talks will be released in equal quantities on each registration date. All ticketed author talks are free, but advance reservations are required. Each talk requires its own reservation, and customers may reserve up to two tickets per event by adding one guest during registration.
Reservations may be made at toledolibrary.org/romance-con under "Ticketed Author Talks." Traditional library cardholders will need their library card barcode or PIN to complete registration. Library staff can help customers locate their barcode or PIN, upgrade to a traditional library card or register for a new library card. Customers can call 419-259-5200 during Library hours or visit toledolibrary.org/card for more information.
Romance-Con brings readers together with bestselling and emerging romance authors through featured presentations, workshops, panel discussions, an author fair featuring independently and traditionally published romance writers and opportunities to connect with fellow romance fans.
Since launching in 2024, Romance-Con has welcomed nearly 100 romance authors, from local writers to nationally bestselling names. Previous headlining and featured authors include Abby Jimenez, Christina Lauren, Susan Lee, Kimberly Lemming, Kathryn Moon, C.M. Nascosta, Nikki Payne, Chip Pons, Jo Segura and Julie Soto.
The 2026 Romance-Con will take place Saturday, Nov. 7 at Main Library in downtown Toledo.
