United Way of Greater Toledo Presents "Helping Our Heroes 2026" Campaign Kickoff

United Way of Greater Toledo is inviting community members to roll up their sleeves and support the educators who shape the future of our region during Helping Our Heroes 2026, the organization's annual Campaign Kickoff event.

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, volunteers from local businesses, civic organizations, and the community will come together at Birmingham Elementary, Escuela SMART Academy, and Robinson Elementary to help teachers prepare their classrooms for the first day of school.

Teachers invest countless hours beyond the school day creating welcoming learning environments, organizing classrooms, and preparing lessons, often purchasing supplies with their own money. Through Helping Our Heroes, volunteers help ease that burden so educators can focus on what matters most: supporting student success.
