Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful to Host Annual Green Time in the 419 Fundraiser

Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful is thrilled to announce the return of Green Time in the 419, its annual fundraising celebration dedicated to environmental progress and community engagement. The event will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at Glass City Pavillion, Glass City Metropark.

Green Time in the 419 brings together local leaders, businesses, and community members for an evening of live music, local cuisine, craft beverages, and environmental networking, all in support of a cleaner, greener Toledo and Lucas County. Tickets are $25 and include dinner, first drink, dessert, entertainment, environmental education, and a silent auction.

“As the Executive Director of Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, I’m incredibly proud of the momentum we have built over the past several years,” said Adam Cassi. “This year, we are excited to host our event at the beautiful Glass City Pavilion, highlighting the green space, open skies, and incredible murals along the river, truly encapsulating our mission of sustaining a cleaner and greener community for all, raising funds to drive positive environmental change in our region. For every $1 invested in our mission, $14.55 is returned to our community in measurable benefits.”

This fundraiser is more than just funds raised, it’s about direct impact.

In 2025 alone, our work produced results that speak for themselves:

  • 21,150 pounds of litter cleared through our Toledo Litter League

  • 87,288 pounds of materials diverted from landfills through special recycling

  • and composting collections

  • Over 150 native trees planted, including 118 in the Point Place and Shoreland

  • neighborhoods following tornado damage

  • 5,693 youth reached through free environmental education programs

  • The launch of our 100 Public Works of Art initiative

Proceeds from the event directly support Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful’s hands-on programs, including litter cleanups, recycling education, hard-to-recycle drop-off events, community tree plantings, and more.
