Humane Ohio is less than one week away from announcing the winner of their 5th Annual Pints for Pets Beer Label Photo Contest and Fundraiser, and the competition is heating up!

Pet lovers across the region have submitted their favorite photos and are rallying votes for a chance to have their beloved companion featured on a limited-edition beer can brewed by Toledo’s own Maumee Bay Brewing Company. The virtual contest runs through August 23rd, so there’s still time to get in on the fun - whether by entering a pet or voting for your favorite.

There is a $10 entry fee to submit a pet photo, and each vote is just $1. The pet with the most votes will win a professional photo session with Trumbull Photography, have their photo featured on a custom beer label and billboards throughout the city, and bragging rights. The contest is open to all domestic animals and proceeds from every entry and vote will help support Humane Ohio’s spay/neuter programs, keeping surgery prices low and accessible to pet owners throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

The winning pet will be revealed on cans specially brewed and designed by Maumee Bay Brewing Company and celebrated at the annual Beer Release Pawty on Saturday, October 17th at the Brewery’s Warehouse location.

Cheers to supporting local animals, one photo, one vote, one beer at a time!

About Humane Ohio
Humane Ohio is a non-profit, low cost spay/neuter clinic that fixed 17,307 animals in 2025. Their clinic serves Ohio and Michigan and can offer low-cost spay/neuter prices because donations and grants help keep the cost low while maintaining high quality veterinary care. All spay/neuter surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians (DVMs) and every patient receives quality pain medication and anesthesia. Humane Ohio also has a small adoption program, and they placed over 250 cats and kittens into loving homes within the last year.  www.humaneohio.org
