A Museum That Brings History to Life

The Museum and Welcome Center of Fulton County is more than just a collection of artifacts—it’s a storytelling experience. Designed with modern, engaging exhibits, the museum guides visitors through Fulton County’s past, from the early Native American inhabitants to the struggles and triumphs of pioneer settlers.

The museum's architecture is a thoughtful recreation of Fulton County's first courthouse, honoring the pioneer families who laid the foundation of the county. Among the many tales preserved within its walls is that of Barney Oldfield, the renowned race car driver hailing from the area. Through permanent and special exhibition galleries, visitors are invited to "Find your way, or make your own way," immersing themselves in interactive and informative displays.

One of the highlights is the colorful timeline exhibit, which walks visitors through significant eras in local history with visually stunning displays and hands-on elements. You’ll get a sense of what life was like for early settlers, farmers, and entrepreneurs who built the county from the ground up.
